Empowering Coffee, Conversation & Connection

Creating a Space Where Women Feel Seen, Heard and Empowered

In June, I hosted my very first event, Coffee, Conversation & Connection, at Kasa Café in London – a vision that had been close to my heart for some time. I organised this event with my friend, Natalie Ambersley, who also has vitiligo.

The idea behind the event was simple: to create a space where women could come together, connect authentically, share their stories and feel supported. In a world where many of us are constantly busy, juggling different responsibilities and navigating our own personal journeys, I wanted to create a moment where women could pause, connect and remind one another that they are not alone.

We welcomed a wonderful group of women who embraced the spirit of the event wholeheartedly. What made the day so special wasn't just the conversations we shared, but the meaningful connections that formed between the women themselves. We listened to each other's experiences, celebrated each other's journeys and created a safe space where everyone felt seen, heard, valued and supported.

The energy in the room was truly incredible. There was openness, warmth, laughter, vulnerability and a genuine willingness to connect. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of bringing women together and the impact that can be created when we share our stories and support one another.

We were also honoured to welcome our special guest, Kay Kaur, who delivered an insightful presentation on gut health, wellness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her knowledge and openness sparked meaningful conversations and added another layer of inspiration to an already memorable afternoon.

I am also incredibly grateful to the wonderful brands that partnered with us and helped create thoughtful goodie bags for our guests including Glossy Box, Simply Heal, Nourish N Bloom, Simply Sacred Blends and Alchemy For Body Mind Soul. Their support allowed us to make the experience even more special and ensured that each woman left with a little reminder of the day and the community we created together.

Looking back on Coffee, Conversation & Connection, I feel incredibly proud of what we created. This event was more than just a gathering – it was a celebration of women, our stories, our strength and the connections that help us grow.

My hope is that this is only the beginning. I want to continue creating spaces where women feel empowered, where conversations can happen openly and where we can continue to lift one another up. Because when women come together, share their stories and support one another, something truly powerful happens.

We're already exploring plans for future events, and if you're interested in collaborating with us, I'd love to hear from you. Whether you're a speaker, brand or would simply like to get involved, please email me at joti@positivelydiverse.co.uk.
